I will belabor the point here again as this thread continues to thrive:
Kasper is more skilled than people give him credit for. He drives play, whether it shows on the score sheet or not. That's literally what makes him special. For those saying "Oh, I can't see the skill", "where's his shot?". Just because he's not dangling doesn't mean he's not creating opportunity. He brings so many things we need to fill in the gaps to keep our offense moving.
That goal is a perfect example of it. Smart passing, moving into space, reading the play, and he's the only one on our team that's capable of crashing and screening the crease. He's going to score off his butt, but it's intentional. Rejoice, we haven't really see this kind of net presence since Homer. What makes him better than Homer is he can also play facing the net and can skate. The kid does so many smart things, we should be absolutely pumped he's on our team. And remember, he's freakin' 20 years old and he's playing in our Top 6 and is beginning to stand out. The 2022 Draft, the only guys I see who I think are honestly better than him are Slaf and Cooley. Kasper is this really solid all-round C with a ton of grit, and smarts. This second half of the year is going to be fun because he is looking a lot more confident out there.
edit: and Huston - forgot about him
