I'm fully aware that Larkin got off to a great career by putting up points riding shotgun on Z's line his first year. The point was that he then struggled once asked to center a line as a 20 year old but was able to grow as a player to become the Larkin we love today. People are whining that he's not carrying a line and putting up numbers as a 20 year old in his 2nd season in NA. If he had played NA jr hockey, he would have literally been eligible for the AHL starting this season. Instead, he's treading water in the NHL and getting his feet wet in anticipation of a bigger role next year.To be fair Larkin got 45 points in his rookie year. His second year that you referred to was a sophomore slump which he followed up with 63 points. I don't see Kasper getting 45 this year, or even 32, and definitely don't see him as a 60+ point player.
