Well when you make 5 and a half million dollars a year I expect more than 30 points and 10 goals a season.Andrew Copp 9 points in 25 games player - screw this guy
And half of those are empty net goals.Andrew Copp 9 points in 25 games player - screw this guy
all of yzerman's first round picks so far will go top 5 in a redraftIn a 2022 redraft where would he go? I can only think of a few players I'd definitely take ahead of him right now.
I'm @'ing you. Mo and Ray are top 2-3 players in their respective classes, easily, but I'm not sure on the rest.all of yzerman's first round picks so far will go top 5 in a redraft
don't @ me

Ed's class is stacked, with Power, Wyatt Johnston, Guenther, Hughes, McTavish, Beniers, Clarke, Kent Johnston among others all performing really well post draft. Plus there's Wallstedt and Stankoven who might crash the party too. Now I think Ed has the potential to be as good as any of them (his ceiling remains sky-high) he's got a lot to overcome. Cossa on the other hand does have a good chance of being an a top goalie, but this class is seriously stacked.
Kasper's class is much weaker, but Cooley, Slaf, Mintyukov and Cutter are for sure above him at this point. So he's in a dead heat with like 10 other players for 5th, which means he was a good pick at that slot, but don't forget there is a dark horse I didn't mention: Buchelnikov.
Danielson I think has no shot, even if he hits. Bedard, Michkov, Carlsson and Fantilli are all gonna be/are studs. Will Smith, Reinbacher and Leonard I think all have a good chance of being high end players as well. Meanwhile I think ASP has a serious chance of being top 5 if his offense translates completely and his defensive improves a bit. I still can't believe he fell to 17.
MBN is probably the least likely to be top 5 in a redraft, but that class is so recent I think it's almost impossible to evaluate in terms of redrafting it anyway.

Him and Burger have been the most consistent chance creators game in and out. The oiSH% will rise once they get a legit 3rd linemate. His even strenght oiSH% is at 5.1, think it's fair to say his lack of 5v5 production can be attributed to bad luck. This supports the eye-test, cause it looks like he creates alot of chances every night.

Yup. Him or Raymond would clean up with those two. Tank is just not quite quick enough anymore.Debrincat.

Kasper and Danielson do give us some hope of having good centers once Larkin begins to slow down (may it happen far in the future). They play all 200 feet, have surprising skill and creativity, with Marco playing with a noticeable edge while Nate is more dynamic with the puck.6 in the last 10 for Kasper. Not including being robbed last night because Gustafsson is a bag of suck.
5 in the last 10 for Wright.
Kasper may not be on the scoresheet every night but you notice him regardless. Shane Wright is invisible when not on the scoresheet.
We really need more guys like them rather than Ras/Copp/Compher/Veleno. At this point I feel like we'd be better off without any of them, but they're all here for at least one more year *sigh*. On another team, Burger and Kasper would be breakout players, and we're still starting to see some signs of it as they figure out on the fly how to create more of their own looks in the NHL.Him and Burger have been the most consistent chance creators game in and out. Kasper had some time getting acclimated, but as soon as he got more into top 6 minutes, the points have started to come for sure. The points don't even match how good he has been on the eye test, but 6 points his last 10 is a good streak for a rookie.6 in the last 10 for Kasper. The problem with Wright is about development more than anything. WHen you're an exceptional status guy but then your development goes slowly and you're not all that dominant compared to what you should be... people will start to doubt you.
His development has been on the upward trajectory for a high end forward. that you want, I wouldn't trade Kasper for him
That's flat out wrong. No points in his last 8 gamesNo points in 10. So when are we allowed to say that just maybe, all this “limited upside talk” might be true?
