Excited by the comments in this thread. If he can develop into our PP specialist or more that's an amazing find at 62.

Can someone tell me a comparable? Like is his ceiling Krug? MAB?

Interesting tidbit in below article talks about how he has delayed bone growth and has another year of growth in him. So while he’s small, he’s still growing.

A report from Hutson’s endocrinologist indicated his bone age is delayed relative to his biological age, which means his frame still has more than a full year of additional bone growth to go.

It might not seem like a great comparable but he really reminds me of Mete... If Mete had any offensive bone in his body.

Mete made the NHL on pure skating, positioning, and puck movement in his own zone. Hutson to me is all that and then able to QB a PP with lots of offensive upside.

Hutson is a god offensively. He just need to proof he can cope with the added physicality of the NHL. Ideally he grows to 5'10 and adds 20lbs. But you got a 60-70 pt defenseman in there. No joke.

I've watched a lot of his tape and I've seen scouts say that he might have had the most skill on that NTDP team. Love the pick, hope he works out!

The US NTDP continues to produce great prospects year after year. The 2022 Draft is no different with defenceman Lane Hutson the tenth player we have profiled from the program so far. Hutson had a huge season with the US NTDP. He put up 10 goals and 53 assists for 63 points in 60 games, playing against USHL opponents and college hockey exhibitions.

Might be a 2nd round Caufield…….

Really like the pick!!!
