Prospect Info: [2022 - 33rd] Owen Beck (OHL - Saginaw Spirit)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Beck appears to be helping Laine a lot more than Dach and this injury may be a bit of a blessing. Laine may have been frustrated with the linemates he was given as he played well in 4 Nations and has become more of a playmaker wit Dach gone. Newhook although he was enrgized before Christmas continues to improve and the team will definitely need to reevaluate Dach/s future with the club after this injury. Not sure what Dach is worth (maybe a 3rd or 4th at best) but with some good prospect in Laval and a couple of prospects ie. Demidov arriving next year it would be a good time to move this player.

Another great piece from 2022 draft.

I think he can develop into a very solid 3rd line player, like Newhook, Heineman. They are perfectly suited to become very good 3rd line players.

Gives me same vibe of when Danault joined the team late in the season after acquiring him at the TDL.

He plays a very similar game and determination off the puck. Beck has a better shot, but Danault had amazing puck retrieval skills and extended a lot of posession time for the players he played with.

Beck is a good puck carrier though, I'm looking forward to him developing his in zone offense, he skates well with the puck.
