Did the Oilers run out of gas? They looked unbeatable in that first period, in retrospect were they running high on adrenaline?

I had no problem with the refs today. Sure they let a lot of stuff go but nothing they called was wrong. The trip on OT had to be called, it took away a scoring chance.

I think the Kings got better as the game went on.

Wednesday I expect Kane and Helllooo Nurse to throw the body early

I am cautiously optimistic. Woodcroft will whine about the officiating, and the Oilers will start drawing the more favorable calls.

Last year the Kings won Game 1, then the Oilers absolutely dismantled them in Games 2 and 3. Let’s hope the Kings are more prepared for what is to come on Wednesday.
