Klim Kostin another unqualified player, would like Grier to get a shot at Geekie, Kostin at least.
I believe Sprong is not coming to the Sharks whatsoever.

I was hoping to see Chmelevski come back over here but that no longer seems to be in the cards. Grier seems hellbent on going scorch earth of the previous regime.
Grier: “He and his agent thought it would be best for him to go play in Europe. I have to do what I feel is best for the organization, on the other side of it, the agent is trying to do what he thinks is best for his clients. At the end of the day, hopefully it works out for Sasha, but this is the path he’s chosen to go down right now.”

I don't think Grier is going scorched earth IMO, just a change in philosophy. I'd bet he would welcome Chmelevski to compete for a bottom 6 role, but KHL might be the best option for him.

He's probably making more money playing a top six role there than he would competing for a bottom six role or NHL spot here. Now, whether the money is worth the job is another matter...

I'm a little surprised that Gregor wasn't qualified. Seems like the team really liked him, judging by the opportunities he got...then again, maybe his bungling of those opportunities has caused this...

Possible they tried to sell him at the deadline and no one wanted him. Also, see him as someone who is blocking minutes from prospects they see value in. Either way not someone for the future. Lol watch him resign a different way

I thought there was no way this could be true. But it is. (the better two being Norris and Ferraro). Damn.
BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT BABY.

Extremely happy Gregor wasn't qualified, though I was never worried he would be. Now only 1 year left of LaShit and I'll be a happy camper afterwards

Me too, if not just for his speed and occasional offensive acumen. He brought something we didn't have enough of.

He brought enough of what we already had too much of: Lazy, Can't score, Can't play defense, can't do shit except skate.

icetime on a shitty team isnt going to help a goalie. I dont think he gets more money from anyone but he might get a better defense in front of him

I saw Markus Nutivaara retired on twitter.

Great signing guys....
I mean he's no longer cap money so there's that, but yeah Nutivaraa was an extremely puzzing signing.

You might compare his goals to the rest of the Sharks' F corps. Gregor was tied for 2nd in goals for our bottom 6 F.

There is a real methodical approach to how Grier operates and considering this team’s future seems like 400x more promising than last season, I’ve really enjoyed watching him work. For a second I was worried he was going to pick a more Grier-like player in Leonard, but the Smith and Musty picks, and to a smaller extent, Cagnoni, really gave me a lot of confidence in him and his team.

Detroit didn't qualify Jasper Weatherby.

Just saying that it might behoove them to regard the grandiosity of the space he occupies.
On one side. He's really..... Big. On the other hand... He's a DW pick.

Grier: "no"

Have to think that the priority is going to be to give the prospects more opportunities, so I can't imagine the Sharks are very active in the free agency market. Honestly, would like to see them move Barabanov ASAP.
