Yeah, it is definitely on him at this point. Yeah, he still has time to develop, but there absolutely needs to be some major improvements and steps taken by this time next season because the excuses are running out. At this point, he would fall over, flop, and look for a pass on a breakaway. People are literally jamming at the puck in the crease and he skates away to the blue line.
I would give anything to put Blake Lizotte's heart and drive in Byfield's body. He literally just needs to put his foot to the floor and drive to the net because his "finesse" isn't cutting it.

4th line played quite well.. hope they keep JAD in there.. he was throwing the body again tonite.

I like those 3 as the 4th line. They finish their checks. I don't know what the fancy stats are though but they play hard.

Korpisalo's SO getting preserved--he earned it but also the team didn't let him down
Back on track with attention to detail for the most part, needed a slump buster
Mikey Anderson is an absolute beast
Wasn't exactly a picasso but gotta start with a finger painting

Seemed obvious after a couple of games. Maybe an extended tryout..seeing if he could fight - which he cant/wont. if MacEww plays again they are officially insane. JAD had 3 hits each in last 2 games. He keeps that up w Grundstrom continue to be the wrecking ball they will be a decent energy line with some scoring ability.

Kempe had enough of that a-hole and especially after Miller high sticked him on a scoring chance in the 1st I think. Miller was a dick all night and looking to start something. Kempe just wouldn't put up with it anymore. Was it smart, no, but it needed to be done.

Every Vancouver game I’ve watched this year Miller has been a dick. Not just to the other opponents but also his own team.
I think this dude has quickly figured out what a mistake it was that he signed long term in Vancouver.

Yep, there is zero reason for Macewen to play another game with the Kings.
Dude just cannot play hockey at this level.

my post game thoughts...
I Regret we cant play Canucks in first rd.
Losses against Edmonton, Loss against Vegas, Loss against Colorado all teams we could face in playoffs doesnt bode well. Saw Mark Stone is skating again for Vegas as well. I hate that team.
Tmac can win against bad teams but cant against playoff teams. I know playoffs is a different animal altogether but...
As mentioned- I like Durzi. Has character and willing to step up for teammates....but his d play is going to lose us a playoff game. If Im an opposing coach with the last change I salivate at putting my top scoring line against whatever pair he is playing on. That last shift of his was nail biting time and classic Durzi falling in the slot and trying to sweep the puck out with his hand. Once again- not a hater, hes the most likable dude on the team but come playoffs this is going to cost us games.
Walker has played some decent hockey- him and Bjornfot would be a legit bottom 6 pairing.
Really hope the Kings can make something happen to resign Gavrikov and Korpisalo. Both of those players are legit and sorely needed.
Kaliyev scores- and gets the least amount of TOI.
which brings me to the updated Pts per TOI average.
Byfield squeezing the stick harder than me in the 10th grade with the female undergrad substitute English teacher. Do notice hes trying to play a bit more physical and getting a bit more involved. If memory serves he was good in last years playoffs- hope we see a repeat.
After seeing Kempe fight I remember hoping the Kings would have signed Nic Delauriers. Lost opportunity there.
Kings should rest players Thursday....no point in playing the stars if at all possible. Let Byfield play center and roll with the punches.

We must be watching different games on different channels, the last shift you say were Durzi "failed" describe the fail, other than you not knowing what you are watching, he went down to block the shot and push the puck because his stick was in a mess of 4 other players etc, (I am assuming THAT is the play you are referring to) As far as LA not being able to beat Playoff teams, where in the f*** did that come from? Let's see they've beaten, BOS, EDM, VGS, TOR, DAL, COL, MIN, TB, PIT, SEA etc....all of them are playoff teams....so tell me again that we don't beat playoff teams?
