Good point. The hallmark of Todd's system is lots of fancy passing when the ice is terrible.

A rule of thumb, when the ice conditions aren't good you simplify and go to hockey basics. Short passes, shots on goal, go for rebounds, etc.

You do realize Fiala only plays on one forward line and only plays like 20 mins per game? Falls on TMac for not adjusting the lines well enough. I have seen some instances where on the offensive attack, a Kings player is trying to be too fancy making an extra pass instead of putting a hard shot on net.

Its a tough checking game, not much to complain about. Can't score five every night. Some games you need your "will" guys to win it for you. Very impressed with Grundstrom and MacEwen tonight, nice to have a defined, physical, grinding 4th line instead of a mix of whatever kids aren't going to get big minutes.
