Roy has quietly developed into a top tier defensemen, and no one seems to appreciate just how good he is. Demotion is the last thing he should get.

Matt Roy is the 2nd best defensemen on the roster, and he gets zero love.

He has quietly developed into a Willie Mitchell type of mobile shutdown guy, and it’s f***ing awesome. Absolute core guy.

Perfectly timed and effective pinches.

Leads all King's Dmen in goals even though he doesn't play on the PP.
