For sure.
The thought that lineup decisions are to placate any player's ego is... puzzling to me. That's in complete contrast to the general complaint of the team's over-reliance on veterans to win now at the expense of the future. Can't have it both ways, either you are icing the lineup you think gives you the best chance or you're not. I might have a different view from the staff on what the best lineup is, but they certainly aren't trying to massage any egos.
But then again, the general consensus around here is that the management and staff suck. That's not uncommon for fanbases, but given their spot in the conference they have to be the best sucky management group ever. Some will point at year-over-year totals and say they didn't improve much, but each season is different. With as many games that have been played against similar teams, it's obvious that the Kings are doing better this year relative to their peers.
