It doesn't even matter if he gets laid out in a hit, dude just keeps getting back up and getting after it. He had a pretty nice hit last game.

He has 9 points in the past 10 games with no PP minutes. His play has had a direct influence on the time and space given to Fiala, who has had his best stretch of hockey of the year on that line.

What more does he need to do? Seems like the bar here is set on a sliding scale to avoid ever giving this player his due.

Been saying this all year, this team is an easy out playing with this roster makeup. If you scratch JAD on favor of Kaliyev you are hurting your chances to win games. The Kings were lucky that the Ducks and Yotes were miserable offensive teams.

The Kings have nobody along the wing that plays to hold leads with the lineup they iced over the last two games. The previous run of games saw a much more balanced team that had a line that could simply forecheck and tilt the ice. Last two nights saw one energy, one style of play that isn't conducive to killing games. Once they stopped pushing for offense, the door was wide open for comebacks.

Be it JAD, who is already here and thriving of late, or new outside acquisitions, the Kings will be blown out in the first round without a 4th line that can dial down the tone of the game when needed.

Should be able to pick up a cheap rental or two proficient in that role.
I think you nailed the arguably most important somewhat more hidden need Blake needs to address for playoff success.

It's when Lizotte turns the puck over up the ice or when on the road the other team matches their top line against Lizotte. Lizotte is fine, but he isn't a Stoll level shutdown 3C.

Not necessarily a bad problem to have, but the Kings need to choose between Lizotte and JAD. There's simply no room for both of them.

Hockey weather in Minnesota indeed! Where I live in Canada we got a 14 inch dump overnight and this morning! Indeed Hockey weather love it!

Lizotte is a Minny native...with a French surname
 
Of course someone gets their first against us. Wasn't there some stat to back up the fact that Kings get the most first NHL goals scored against them
