That’s not realistic. Quick is good in spurts when he’s really well rested. Riding him is a recipe for disaster. They need to do something soon. There’s no other real way to safeguard the season and potentially the future
No they don’t, it’s no different than last season other than our defense being worse.
Who is available, what’s the cost? In case you haven’t notice, scoring is sky high this season and lost keepers have bad numbers. There’s no one thats available that will help this team nor should the Kings be desperate enough to trade for a keeper that’ll likely have a big salary even for this season and limit their ability to make any other moves.

My point stands
They’ll sign a vet
Trade for a Portillo type
Draft a few over the next 2-3 years

yes, which is odd, because Quick LITERALLY gave up 2 goals on the first 2 shots which makes it even harder to agree with your opinion

but hey, it takes all kinds people to build a world

Bud you know that was COPLEY that got pulled after the first two shots = goals, right?

Backhanders, especially from that area, are really difficult for goaltenders. You can't get a sense of where the shot is going pre-release like you can with forehand shots.

The other goal was a deflection that went off the crossbar.

That period had everything. 2 goals scored in the first minute, goalies pulled, a fight, a goal off a busted stick, big hits, Doughty laying out and saving a goal on an open net, and penalties. I don't want this game to end up like the last time we played them. Keep the game close, keep peppering Saros and we might have a chance

You’re making it sound like I’m asking for a lot by wanting an average goaltender. Let them find one. They have no choice. They can’t afford to let the season ride on Copley

I agree it was very entertaining. Nashville very physical and the Kings are showing a bit more mustard than last year.

They either aren’t available or can’t be fit cap wise.. $10m in keepers does that, they could go Reimer, Varlamov or others of that ilk but in that case you might as well stick with Quickie

more like the last two games. this was nowhere vs dallas or nj.
Thats true.. but overall its better. Like QB with the hit and also clearing the crease on another play. It has to be team-wide cant just have Lemieux forcing a fight and usually losing.

The more time goes on the more I think they're doing exactly that.

Just somehow stay afloat with whatever patchwork .900 goaltending they can get until the playoffs, and then bet big on Quick being his usual big game self like last year for one last hurrah unless somehow Copley or Petersen goes nuclear down the stretch. Allows for Quick to ride off into the sunset like Brown, buys time for Blake to not make a panic move (which, you know, 4 years isn't panic but whatever), gives them an alibi and scapegoat for this year when we get smoked in teh first round after tripping over .888 goaltending down the stretch despite a favorable schedule as other teams will address their needs.

Blake has to figure it out and get it done because the option you’re suggesting is pure stupidity

I really hope they don’t do something that f***ing dumb
