No blue chip goalie and letting Parik float off into the void, sign Copley, Villalta is the heir apparent in the AHL while Quick is sunsetting and Petersen is shaky...that's bad GMing. It isn't about this game in particular, this is a microcosm of a MAJOR issue that's been VERY apparent for SEVERAL years and posters going after people for criticizing that is, honestly, complete horse shit.

Find a way to make a trade for an average goalie with NHL experience. Doesn’t seem too complicated. There isn’t really room to f*** around and find out. They’re trying to make the playoffs not miss them.

The truth is this seasons Kings team will need to rely on Quick. He’s the best keeper we have and he’ll likely surge at some point this season and hopefully the team defense gets better.
What this team really needs is a 3 tier goalie development. Meaning we need a starter for next season, a young keeper to develop in Ontario and draft a few goalies in these next two drafts.
Maybe sign Jarry
Trade for Portillo
Draft Bjarnason

Or something like that

That’s not realistic. Quick is good in spurts when he’s really well rested. Riding him is a recipe for disaster. They need to do something soon. There’s no other real way to safeguard the season and potentially the future

They went in the season w hopium in goal.. with the overall goalie pipeline prob worst in the league. Its like a Ferari on offense and broken down vw bug for goal.. makes no sense if you are attempting to contend.
