This is a big difference between Kings playing rookies and the Sens, Ducks, Wings, etc. Their rookies are allowed to just suck on defense for their first two years. It’s kind of frustrating because I think their way is better as icetime is icetime, but it also sticks out like a sore thumb from time to time.
