I'm pretty sure Madden is only here tonight to be the 13th forward. Reign have games this weekend, Kings have the Canes on Saturday and then go on a 6 game road trip.

Bjornfot is definitely here to play though. They have to try something differently on defense

I'm not in favor of getting rid of him at this moment given with where we are at and where the rest of the division is and mostly because of his contract status expiring next year.

However, last year they were able to turn it around and were able to overcome the injuries on defense and that's what carried us to the playoffs. This year its the complete opposite. Everyone is mostly healthy outside a couple of players and the goaltending has been shockingly bad. You also can't count on the Oilers or the Flames to maintain their current pace either, other teams are going to try to be making adjustments as well. There's a lot of work to be made to get where we were last year by the end of the season.

No, I’m saying that with a competent defense and a league average goalie, we could be the Avalanche. Do you not want to be the best team in the league?

Anyone else think a couple of these young guys are being showcased ? Would be interested which scouts are in the rafters .

I would think so because the Kings are in the market for D and G - and the Coyotes are always looking to keep costs down going fwd.. there about 4 mil above the cap floor - im sure they wouldnt mind being right at it

Grundstrom scratched? I can't imagine they go 7 defenseman which if they don't go with 7 defenseman then that means Madden gets in.

Didn't we have a game either this year or maybe it was last year we played 7 defenseman and we played terribly?

Captain Kopitar goes to a golf analogy to describe what the Kings need to do to improve. Sounds like he’s focused on his mid April activities.
