Well, if I wanted to be snarky I would call you an arrogant dumbshit -- but I won't. Maybe your just math challenged. KF so far with the Kings is about 1.07 points per game. Ziggy in his first year with the Kings was slighly less than that.

Palffy put up 1.03 PPG in his first season with the Kings when the league averaged 2.75 GPG. Fiala is putting up 1.08, but the big difference is that the league is averaging 3.18 GPG. Pallfy also followed that up by putting up 1.22 PPG the next season when the league was averaging just 2.62 GPG. It's hard to compare eras straight across, as a mathematician I assume you would know that.

Durzi is a perfect bottom pairing defenseman. Great on the PP. One of the best offensive talents we’ve had on the blueline in years.

His issues have always come down to utilization, which hey, looks like another f***ing coaching problem to me.

You only trade Durzi if you have an objectively better version of him ready to go, ala Johnson supplanted by Voynov.
I agree completely.

From my perspective Spence is already that better version and Clarke probably is also. Both Roy and Durzi could arguably be upgraded by Clarke and Spence. Roy is there more because he’s the only D-Man of his type than him excelling in his role. If they get in a better version of Roy for the left, they could in theory then open up the needed spots on the right but they’d need to clear 2 of Roy, Durzi and Walker which I realise is easier said than done. I just don’t know how they realistically manage it.

Or it could be he stepped up his game after a closed door team meeting , like the captain should , to try and right the ship, and I am one that is definitely on the kopi defense force simply out of respect for the guy , I know in your “ What have you done lately “ world that’s not enough but since that first home game against the ducks he has been a joy to watch playing both close to a point a game offense and Selke level defense. I don’t believe he should play both PP and PK or lead the start on OT anymore but pretty sure that’s not his call and I am very sure that when he is tapped he goes because he is a gamer and with due respect to 16 and 99 the best center to play for the kings in my 47 years of going to games here
I agree with what you say here. He has looked better lately and has been sticking up for his teammates. He is probably my favorite player ever.
Though the “what have you done for me lately” world does apply to fans that spend their hard earned money to go to games and buy merch and buy cable to watch games etc. You cant take games off when people are paying top dollar to watch an intense sport.

I agree. Kopi’s issues are situationa. He’s playing too many minutes and his role is too big. If he were being deployed like an elite 2C we’d be delighted because our expectations would be correct for where he is/should be in his career.

Indeed, but it's close which was my point. Moreover, I think Ziggy's first year with the Kings was before Allison/Deadmarsh which may account for a lot of the jump in production in year 2. Linemates are of course a big factor as well although I doubt Ziggy (even in his first year) was centered by a broken down dinosaur like Kopitar.
