Grundstrom doesn't sound Russian to me.I’ll be that guy. What’s with anyone having a Russian sounding name always getting the worst treatment on this team?

This is just wrong. It's just so wrong to have your most gifted offensive player on line 3, period. I like Kupari and Grundstrom a lot, honestly, but Fiala needs to play on the top line. It's time to try other combinations.
Kempe really needs to get going. The team really misses Iafallo.
Grundstrom gets better treatment no? I mean Tkachev got shafted when he was the best forward during preseason. He made like two errors and they killed him lmaoGrundstrom doesn't sound Russian to me.
and it seems that every 50/50 puck goes the other way
A lot of guys look good during preseason. Tkachev was a floater and never went below the dots to engage. He was your typical Russian sniper, thats it.Grundstrom gets better treatment no? Yet he was extremely good on the powerplay on a team that was terrible on the powerplayA lot of guys look good during preseason. Tkachev was a floater and never went below the dots to engage. He was your typical Russian sniper, thats it.
Lol. I think a strategy thats worth looking into the Kings case is to make the 1st line a defensive shutdown line..whose success would be determined by a minimally negative line plus minus. Then you stack up your 3rd line who will get easier defensive assignments... I would like to see Vilardi, Fialla, and temporarily Kupari.. honestly Kupari is braindead in terms of playing with his linemates - he has good speed and 1 on 1 moves - but no vision or anticipation. He will eventually be a 4th line center when they realize he has no IQ (edit: or a Kempe style wing)What’s the point of this comment? Vilardi is by far the best player on the line. I don’t care how many points he has if he looks great on a line with one over the hill player and another who has the generational talent of taking games off.
It doesn't get asked during postgame because generally speaking the mood in postgame isn't combative or critical the way it is in some markets. Why isn’t the question that gets asked of TM during post game? Too hard hitting for hockey?
I think Ive only seen 34 moved up to other lines for a game or 2. I guess my point is, I doubt there is empirical evidence to support the conclusion - seems more like coaches gut instinct. I do think getting him at least a 3rd line assignment would be logical considering how well he is scoring and the opposing line will not be significantly harder to play against then the 4th line opponent. It doesn't get asked during postgame because generally speaking the mood in postgame isn't combative or critical the way it is in some markets.
It HAS however been brought up after practices on non-game days and it's been asked why Kaliyev "seems" more productive on the 4th line than on other lines. While I don't personally agree with that observation it has been made and it's been made repeatedly and you can gather from listening to the answers given when it's asked that the coaching staff clearly believes that Kaliyev is more productive in his current role than he is when that role is "elevated" within the lineup.
Take from that what you will.
I checked the numbers elsewhere for how much Kaliyev has played with Kopitar and Danault this season at even strength. Since then Kaliyev is up to a whole 13:28 total with Kopitar and Danault at even strength this season. There's not much evidence at all to support that Kaliyev isn't productive higher in the lineup because it's barely happened.I think Ive only seen 34 moved up to other lines for a game or 2. Grundstrom would score actual NHL goals during the season after being benched for weeks, then get sent right back to the bench. This season has been better for him so far in that regard so maybe it’s different this year but I’d still bet Grundy will be the first guy back to the bench if Iafallo or Lemiuex get healthy.Grundstrom gets better treatment no? If they truly feel this way then that’s some of the dumbest logic I’ve ever heard. My god. He scores on the PP, do they think his PP linemates are 4th liners? It doesn't get asked during postgame because generally speaking the mood in postgame isn't combative or critical the way it is in some markets.

Coaches, management and broadcasters lie to you.If they truly feel this way then that’s some of the dumbest logic I’ve ever heard. My god. He scores on the PP, do they think his PP linemates are 4th liners?
Such stupidity. Let’s put our best sniper with the worst linemates. Todd logic.
If he truly Feels this way then that’s all the evidence I need to comfortably say he has no idea what he’s doing and needs to be fired.
Whatever the case is. It logistically makes no sense. You don’t buy a Ferrari to drive it 65 on the highway.Coaches, management and broadcasters lie to you.
You yourself have really eloquently pointed that fact out RECENTLY.
It's just a reality of the industry.
EDIT: to be clear... they don't ALWAYS lie to you but it does happen.

Not directed at you here Jesse given your post context- but what a powderpuff/softball approach to asking a legit question.....
I don't think you're wrong but I'm not entirely comfortable offering much more detail than that.Thats like asking a politician what they like best about their economic plan when their economic plan has made things worse.
