The Kings don't have the talent and finishers to be sitting an offensive creator on the blueline like Durzi in favor of players like Edler and Walker. The Kings are noticeably worse in transitioning from defense to offense without him playing. You just have to take the occasional hiccups that comes with the huge benefit in other areas.

Bro will there ever be a Kings team that I can watch that let’s me know they’re not ass.

The Kings have 0 identity.

Yeah, they benched the wrong guy.

not really with that kopitar backhand peel to the slot with 15 defenders in his way

poor decision making

T-minus 10 minutes to Todd putting the lines in a blender. Gonna be a real challenge for the coach with no obvious choices for gifting minutes like Brown or Athanasiou.

It's only game 2..

The D looks like shit. I think Fiala is making plays. Vilardi also. Need some PP’s in the 3rd. I like how they changed the PP units. Looks better.

The Danault line is worst on the team in CF%, SF%, xGF%, while also leading the team in ozone faceoff%. What's interesting is that Gabe and Iafallo have been the best analytics wise tonight.

That must have been one hell of a preseason party the boys had because all our "stars" look hungover.

so um what

Don't play him in the last minute of a tied game if you're aiming for the loser point. He's better than Roy, Walker, and Edler.

Can someone tell me what Lemieux and Lizotte bring to this team

They are 4th line energy players, they are the least of the problem. They combined for 18 goals in 120 games last season while providing energy and some toughness. That is good for a 4th line. Would you rather return to the days of Nick Shore and Kyle Clifford getting half that number?

That last power play was just plain bad.

Zero faith they will come back against a bottom feeder on a back to back

Kings inability to start 2nd periods with any kind of passion falls squarely on their leadership group.

Now they have to hero from behind with their top cheerleader and frankly best playmaker in the stands.

"Hey Clarke, don't worry about making mistakes, go out and play your game", cut to Durzi in a tie while Walker struggles and Roy, who apparently had his wrists removed during the summer, is a leaky safety valve.

These "best" players on the roster ain't besting much anymore. See how the crowd responds when the kids show off their stuff? We all know where their bread is buttered, and its not the stale, crusty ends. Just move on already, the results will still be the same, but the ride will mean more sooner than later. Literally.

The Cups are long gone, its time for a meritocracy to see how many of the right parts you already have in place for the next run at it.

No,but don't we have better talent waiting in the "wings"

Sorry, it's only a meritocracy if you mean endless leash for vets and a piece of floss of leash for the kids.
