Clarke has gotta make it in the lineup. I don’t like how they just sit him and we hear nothing on what’s going on.
Maybe he is still recovering from dental work from running into Benn? Looked like he had some issues on the bench after that hit.

Hey Todd, you should try 91, 33, 22 tonight. You don't need a center taking the face-off.

Could be but I doubt it. When he ran into Benn I was worried about a concussion. Benn’s stick did the damage to Clarke’s mouth after the hit.

16th game of the season. More than any other team in the NHL.

Chicago coming off 4 days rest.

Looks like Petersen verse Söderblom.

Söderblom: 4gp, 2.77gaa, 0.924 sv%
Petersen: 5gp, 4.30gaa, 0.868 sv%

What could go wrong?

I know it's for health reasons at this time but there's nothing more Kings than seeing "healthy scratches: #2 OA pick and #8 OA pick"

Welp, seen this movie before

congrats on the shutout Söderblom

I'll be attending my first game since January 2020 (CV, bad Kings product, busy schedule, etc.). I'll be in the suite with one super loud Kings fan surrounded by corporate folks who have no idea what hockey is ;)

Anyway, long overdue but i'm certainly excited. Less so knowing the goaltender matchup now lol

Is it also 'Kings' to see #11 OA leading the team in scoring? Oh yeah, left that part out cause it doesn't fit the narrative.

Is it just me? I would love to see Kaliyev with Kupari and Fiala for a game or two......nothing against Grundstrom....but if you use Kupari as the digger, Fiala as the playmaker who can shoot, and Kaliyev the sniper, I think good things can happen.....

Something something icing the best possible lineup something something you know more than NHL coach?
Don't worry. He'll get a game after a month, and the gatekeepers will say "SEE! You just have to be patient!"

Then either he has a less impressive game, because he's been riding the pine for so long, and the gatekeepers will say "see! This is why he has been sitting. He's clearly not ready!"

OR

He'll have a good game despite being cold, and the gatekeepers will applaud McLellan for "knowing how to motivate him."

Thank the hockey gods, we've been spared of Leah Hextall yet again.

At first glance, I thought she said she was joining Mike Modano. Then my next thought was, "I wonder if ESPN is paying him enough to feed his dogs."

Let's keep the streak alive. Who on Chicago is getting suspended and/or kicked out of the game?

Ohh that's tough, they've got a number of guys who are wound so tight they could snap at any minute...Tinordi...Khaira...

I'll go with Domi elbowing Doughty

Looks like Quick again tonight. Makes sense coming off a shutout.

Where you seeing that?

Sounds like Mrazek is gonna be in for the Hawks now.

Edit: I see Dooley is reporting Quick.

Quick verse Mrazek bodes well for us.

Quick and Kaliyev led the team to 1 point last time. Perfect game for this roster to play up to its potential and make it a good night.

This needs to be a game where the kings take care of business. That's what I'd like to see more of. Chicago eeked out a win last time but if LA is going to make name for itself as a serious team, they need to win the winable games. Chicago is a good matchup but I feel like on paper, LA is better. It's time to stop dropping games to teams that aren't as good.
