I agree - I was previously in the camp to let him iron this all out at the NHL level.. but esp since we have Kupari available that can play center or wing, that seems to have developed a decent game with some physicallity, id rather let QB chill in Ontario at this point.Byfield has never looked fantastic. He needs to play every day in Ontario.
Its going to take some maneuvering. Could see some guys heading out of townHow tf are we going to resign Gabe Vilardi.
Only problem is even if he comes back and looks good, where does he slot in? Kupari is an NHL ready player, he does have experience with wing but he works well as a center tooTotally agree, but a year in Ontario and a healthy offseason did wonders for Vilardi. Kupari looks just fine at 3C. Let Byfield go develop a ton of chemistry with Turcotte with the Reign.

Durzi will never get better on defense. Never!!!Durzi with how not to play Defence on that last goal. Failed to clear them lost his man
leave a brown paper bag in his locker and give him a kevin labanc contract til kopi/RV/etc contracts clearHow tf are we going to resign Gabe Vilardi.
Grundstrom should not play on third lineHe's older, he's NHL ready, he SHOULD look better
That being said he gets Fiala and Grundstrom as linemates, Byfield looked fantastic too when it was Iafallo and Vilardi rather than JAD and Kaliyev.
It's almost like insulating kids with strong vets and high-skill players instead of 'what's left' helps.
If you keep Clarke you move Durzi asap.. he can be a Martinez type player 3rd pair PP1 or 2 - but Kings have enough skill on the right side. We dont need him..Durzi will never get better on defense. Never!!!
I think Kupari is even more effective on wing, but I think that’s a problem for next year. Maybe everyone else’s eyes are seeing different things but Kaliyev and Byfield look weak and deferential to me whereas Vilardi looks strong and assertive, linemates be damned.Only problem is even if he comes back and looks good, where does he slot in? Clarke isn't being traded.
