2022-23 New Goalie Equipment and Masks

NHL should chop off another 5 inches from the top.
Ron Hextall was 6’4 and wore 34” pad. Now 6’2 goalies are wearing like 36+6. It’s crazy. Goalies these days can literally go in to a butterfly from post to post and cover the whole goal line with their pads. Baffles the mind how as much as the position has changed and trading and styles that they are still getting lit up like skinny pad 80’s stand up goalies.

There is no 6'2" goalie that would get 36+6 pads approved by Kay Whitmore per the current rules.

Linus Ullmark is 6'4" and uses XL Bauer pads that are 36+1.

The thigh rises look more than that. I’m 5’8 and use a 32+2. Vasis pads are very long looking
