The Wiebe finished with an assist. Lacombe didnt play due to injury. Boston college lost so I think that means Nesterenko should be reporting to San Diego fairly soon?

LaCombe's injury is that serious. This is over three weeks of being off of the ice for him. Initially, he was reported to miss a game two weeks ago and be ready for the big-10 tourney. I hope the team is just taking precaution, but they also have a bigger goal in winning the frozen four.

Zellweger is as dominant as it gets at the junior level. Just a very high level of skill being added to San Diego’s blue line in the next 7 months

It really depends on the roster. Zell wasn't this dominant with Everett this year, but he is dominant after the trade to Kamloops.

Plus side about going to San Diego next year is he'll be joined with other top talents to improve the Gulls' roster with D Mintyukov, D Hinds, RW Pastujov, and C Gaucher. The Gulls are going to be fun to follow next season.

Someone else brought it up.. not sure if it was @AngelDuck - but if these defenseman all ‘hit’ within the next three years, we should be starting to turn the tide on our defensive issues.

What we need to do is draft more skillful forwards

Looking at stats pages for the CHL is such a good feeling. Seeing our guys at or around the top of every defenseman page. Even Hinds has his spot with the best +/- of defensemen in the Q at +51.

If we were a bigger market team we would have so many articles written about our d prospects by now.

Great video by Derek, a little underwhelmed though with Luneau though in this video. He does possess a passing and skating abilities. But he had some defensive miscues throughout this video.

At 2:55 he completely misreads the play which leads to a scoring chance.. his shift at 3:09 starts with a turnover on the boards leads to another offensive chance.. seems like his partner Boutin is more physical along the boards than he is.

Could be me, but looks promising!
