No busts....nobody can say who is that soon, but guys I am expected absolutley nothing from:
Kapanen / Nurmi / Kostenko / Sobolev / Vrbetic / Smith / Gordin / / Hillis
Nurmi could be back playing next week after his bout with mono

Agreed but I'd replace Kostenko with Trudeau, Struble, and even Mailloux to an extent. Feel like Kostenko playing in KHL at young age gives some intrigue. Interested to see what he does and where he ends up in Habs prospect depth chart.

Is he even playing this year???
Yeah with UMD. But what we will need to know is his icetime.....15 forwards on the roster right now. Quite a few clearly ahead of him.

Well...after what we're seeing with Trudeau...I think expectations has clearly risen up. Struble, he is still a 2nd rounder with an interesting package. Let just say that my expectations are still there. And Mailloux...well you really expect nothing from him?

I liked the Kapanen pick at the time FWIW, ditto with Ikonen in 2017, I could see the potential there. It's hard to translate the U18 production sometimes and even harder to know what role a prospect will have on the big Liiga/SHL team once he gets there. Picking guys with limited skating from the get-go does make everything else harder though, which the new regime seem to have realized, thank god. For whatever reason Timmins and co. went for a lot of guys that were both small AND slow over the years, I never got that.

Trudeau's preseason play definitely interesting. We'll see, perhaps he'll destroy the Q and rise up the ranks like Xhekaj after an overage season. Struble/Mailloux have tools, but their seemingly always being injured reminds me too much of Olofsson/Ikonen

- Owen Sound won 5-3
Guindon with 1 assist
