Read it during intermission. He should stop some more pucks before whining about his teammates.
I am very hard on my goaltenders but he has every right to call these clowns out this year. Miserable efforts everynight. Kyrou is a clubhouse cancer.

If the issues were so predictable, why did nobody predict them? We had a poll for how the Blues finish the season (Thread link). Nobody voted for them to miss the playoffs. 59 votes, nobody voted they'd miss the playoffs. Only 10 people voted they would lose in the first. You voted they'd lose in the finals. So how predictable was it they would be this bad?

I'm not calling you out specifically, well I am, but only because your post made me decide to point it out. This is something a lot of people are saying now, that it was predictable. But I do not recall anyone saying we'd be that bad before we were that bad. So how was it predictable? I have been harping on our defensive issues and the loss of Perron, and I didn't predict we'd be this bad. I voted we'd lose in the first round, not that we'd get a top 10 pick. I don't think it was predictable at all. There is something going on beyond our on paper/predictable issues.
Dom's model predicted it/he was off last year but correct the year before that. FWIW

OK, I'll read through it.
was just coming back here to post it for you: “It’s the same old story; it’s happened (a couple) years in a row, where it’s the same kind of start and, you know, it pisses me off,” Binnington said. “I’m here to win and that starts from day one, from training camp. We’re slowly building and playing together. We’re getting there. But we’re two and a half, three months into the season. It just gets frustrating over a period of time where it’s the same thing that you’re seeing and you expect things to be different. I’m not here to waste my f—ing time every game. It’s the NHL. Let’s go!”

That doesn't sound so bad.

I agree with the not so bad sentiment. He's right though, he brought his A game and we completely ran him into the ground in the first 2 months of the season and no one else on the team acted like they gave a shit.

Did he actually rip on specific players or are people here just making up nonsense?

The only player he name dropped in the entire post was Zucker. Never any of his own teammates.

Ya so no reason for anyone to get huffy puffy about it. I bet reddits going crazy though!
Imho this was the worst thing he did in the post about his teammates.

Ya imo nothing to worry about but I do completely agree with him. Like let's start the season on time ya?

I don't think it was too bad. He was airing his frustrations. The worst part was what went unsaid. He was clearly talking around how he could only do so much in net and he needs the team to score and play defense, but he never specifically says that. He just kinda dances around it by saying he wants to win and is frustrated. He walks right up to calling the team out, then retreats and says something general about how he wants to win.

My frustration is with Berube's comments combined with this quote from Binnington.

“Nah, I think it’s part of it,” he said. “It’s just right now it’s taking us time to all buy into the game plan. But I do believe over time we’re going to get there. We’re working hard and we want to be successful. Like I said, it’s just been a frustrating period of time where we’re working through it.”

Yes, we've identified roster construction issues, but these stuff goes deeper. It's taking time to buy into the game plan? You have got to be kidding me. Some of those players need to go, and it's also an indication that Berube and his staff are losing the players. If all this is true, the really issue on the team is deeper and that it's rotten.

He didn’t rip on specific players but his overall tone is “I work hard and want to win and rest of team has not held up their end”. Which may be true, but that isn’t right message from goalie, especially one who hasn’t been playing great of late.

Can you blame them? Berube just expects the team to slam it's head against the wall until shit works, he doesn't make adjustments and all you have to do is look at the fact it took like 9 consecutive games of having 3 goals scored on us in a period before he decided to call a time out to calm shit down.
