Is he done? Does he want to play again? If he does or doesn't, shouldn't someone of that stature in the organisation get a mutual announcement? I'd be mortified if Landeskog made it to the end of his contract and right before his last game the GM put out a statement saying "we're not re-signing him good luck if he goes anywhere else."

Maybe I assumed he was closer or more certainly at the end of his career than I realised but it's all a bit weird.
After all the revelations of the Beech scandal I think Hawks management wants to turn the page on those guys.

So if Edmonton wins, LA loses, Seattle beats Vegas… Seattle will bump LA down, EDM wins division and plays Winnipeg. We either win the division and play LA, or don’t and play Minny. Right?

Edit. Could be a wild finish tonight…

His face is even half cut off like he's peaking in your post lmao.

I'd rather play the Wild than LA. LA has a cup winning core. Might be old, but they'll be a much harder out, and just as physical.

Would much rather play Minny than LA. It’s literally only Kopi and Doughty left so while those are a hell of a two players to have it’s hard to still call it a cup winning core anymore

They're it, and in the playoffs you need big moment players. Plus their team is basically built to infuriate us.

The Wild are a bubble team in rL, and dirty as fk. Yeah, it will be difficult, and you gotta watch your back, but crushing them won't be hard. LA would beat us to death for real for up to 7 games.

Still holding out hope we get Kings v Oilers. I think they’ll give the Oilers a run for their money again. Regardless what happens with the Avs, no cups for the E-Holes please and especially King E-Hole Kane

Is Vegas letting Oil have the division? Hope the Ducks and Jackets don't blow it and have the Hawks stay in 3rd for lottery

Los Angeles is not losing to Anaheim. The real interesting game is Vegas/Seattle because if Vegas loses in regulation the Oilers win the division and the playoffs in the West go through Edmonton.

As for the East, I've got:

Boston
Toronto
Carolina
NYR

If Florida had any semblance of goaltending I might give them a chance against Boston but f*** me their goalies can't stop a puck. Boston is going to eat them alive. I'd give NYI a better shot because of Sorokin.

I think the Rangers will beat New Jersey. Just can't see Vanacek out dueling Shesterkin.

I’m looking forward to every series in the East.

I'm rooting for The Panthers over Boston, because it would be hilarious after the season they just had.

Tampa over Toronto so the first round exit meme can still live.

Islanders over the Canes, because that team just annoys the f*** out of me.

And finally the Devils over the Rangers because their fans have been extremely annoying this year.

The Oilers are 18-2-1 since March 1st, they have outscored teams 93-55 and have wins against Toronto, Boston, Dallas, Vegas, Los Angeles (twice), and Colorado.

God I hope that team peaked too early. Otherwise if they go on to win the Cup they'll have gone on one of the strongest runs I've seen from March 1st until the end of the playoffs.
