McAvoy also left the game with an injury for Boston, not sure if he came back or not. This is why it’s better to rest people this last few games

I can't believe that I witnessed live an Armia hat trick. What strange times we live in.

Caps and Kuemper were putrid. Complete no show.
What did you expect from Kuemper? He doesnt have the best collection of dman since the Montreal dynasty to protect his sucky ass and EVEN then he almost f***ed it all up.

Yah if I was Boston I would rest them all.

so if we beat LA and get 1st seed in the central, chances are high that Seattle will catch LA and we will play kings.

Beating LA is gonna be a tall order. Kings lost couple of games in a row and gonna be desperate and they’re on home ice. I’ll be at the game. Hopefully Avs can pull it off

I mean Tortorella isn't even bothering to be behind the bench lol, he's watching the games from the box with Briere lol

They have a messed up roster but he also did nothing to help that team and then just stopped coaching with his $12M for the next 3 years in his back pocket. I almost respect it.

Actually, I think Torts has done an absolutely brilliant job in Philly. He was hired to "change the culture," what Fletcher and his superiors didn't realize is that it was the culture upstairs that needed to be changed. And he's taken a wrecking ball to it.

Just look at what's happened since Torts took over. Fletcher got shitcanned, there's rumblings of old standbys like Holmgren and Clarke getting put out to pasture, and even the frickin' head man in charge, Dave Scott, is "retiring." What's even more eye-opening is that when the organization sent out a letter to fans, it was Torts who wrote it, and it's Torts who's not afraid to use the "R" word when it comes to the direction the franchise should take. That's something Fletcher simply could not bring himself to do.

And rightly or wrongly, he's giving some tough love to veterans in a way his predecessors never did, whether that's a good thing or not I'll leave up to you to decide, but when you have veterans on bloated contracts with trade protection, this is probably the best way to put them in a situation where they're much more amenable to waiving that protection for any potential deal.

So yeah, the Flyboys are tanking, as well they should. They finally brought someone in there who convinced them that they'll be stuck in perpetual mediocrity if they don't. And it's funny because they brought him in there with the intention of doing the opposite.

Torts should win the Jack Adams for simply turning Ristolainen into an actual NHL defender.

So if Dallas beats us out for first, Minnesota may have just gotten weaker for round one

What a wee shame for the Wild.

Be careful what you wish for. Everyone keeps declaring the Wylde dead but they lost their best player for about a month or so and didn't miss a single beat. And that player is coming back.

While true, the guy they lost basically had his production replaced by Boldy, something nobody expected.

Losing JEE is entirely different. We'll see if Boldy takes on this challenge, too.
