Judging by the various NHL training camp rosters the following players seem to be under contract for the upcoming season : Erik Brown (Bridgeport), Seth Helgson (Bridgeport), Kyle MacLean (Bridgeport), Chris Terry (Bridgeport), Garrett Wilson (Lehigh Valley), Nikolas Brouillard (San Diego), Brent Gates (San Diego), Patrick Holway (San Jose)

These are either unannouced re-signings or multi-year contracts.

Alex Gallant is also listed which confirms that he'll join Calgary's new AHL affiliate.

Giles was originally signed to a AHL contract by Charlotte back in May.

Kupsky had a short stint as a backup goalie for the Colorado Eagles but he spent most of last season in the ECHL with the Steelheads.

Holway was on NHL training camp roster, now assigned to Barracuda. I don't know if it was a multi-year AHL deal or unannounced AHL deal.

(And last of the rookie TOs released.)

The Firebirds have signed forwards Luke Stevens, Nick Pastujov, Pascal Laberge, and Hugo Roy for the 2022-2023 season.

Extended through the 23/24 season

FTR, September 29 is the day that waivers start. (I have not seen a full list. Just a few that Eliot Friedman listed.)

So about 11am PT Friday (2pm ET) we should see who clears or is claimed.

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms have announced they have signed center Jacob Gaucher and goaltender Nolan Maier to AHL contracts. Gaucher is joining on a two-year, two-way deal while Maier has a one-year, two-way contract. Both recently appeared at PPL Center playing for the Philadelphia Flyers in the Rookie Series against the New York Rangers.

How much do players make on AHL contracts?
depends largely on the contract structure of the specific contract.... whether it's a 1 or 2 way deal... also depends on whether it's an NHL/AHL contract or in certain cases an AHL/ECHL Contract as most NHL/AHL teams assign prospects either directly to an AHL/ECHL Affiliate as Boston did w/ G Brandon Bussi, while Providence assigns players under their contract to an ECHL affiliate.

How much do overage prospects who get AHL deals off of camp invites make?

again, depends there's no overage prospects.... you are required to be 20 minimum to begin at the AHL and the AHL has to approve any player at 18 or 19.... again, depends on the specific case oe player or circumstances ie a lockout

Every situation is different.
2 way NHL / AHL , AHL/ ECHL, Rookies, Veterans with experience, etc.

There are players making NHL 1 way salaries ( 750k minimum )playing in the AHL.

There are players on AHL contracts making 60-70k ish - 400k+

Yeah, that's why I specified AHL contract, not NHL

doesn't matter because the 3 leagues are simultaneously intertwined depending on player, some are on AHL/ECHL Contracts, just like it's been explained about 1 way/2 way contracts
Well I said in my original post "AHL contract", and in response you guys are talking about players playing in the NHL on 2-way/1 way NHL deals, I'm not asking about those, just the typical dollar amount of an AHL deal signed by an AHL team

what contracts are u not being specific about.... there are three leagues involved since most prospects are under either an NHL/AHL Contract or an AHL/ECHL Contract.... very rarely do you see straight AHL only contracts.... not with the direction the AHL Has gone in the last decade

AHL Contract only

Anywhere between $60k - $450k.

a team like Toronto Marlies pay their AHL guys very well.

a lot depends if ownership is owned by NHL club or privately owned and only affiliated with NHL club

I've seen 70-200K on CapFriendly, league minimum is actually $52,500.

As for those signed from lower leagues:
  • 2022-23 - $41,250 U.S. Clubs/ or $53,625 Cdn. Clubs
  • The above amounts shall be pro-rated daily over the AHL regular season.
Also per diem this year and next is $83.
