you were outscored 20-2 in 2 games and one of the goals were scored with a two man advantage. i'll reiterate stop embarrassing yourself.

I´m a Finnish fan, do you have a hard time reading?
My point exactly, you are a fanboy because you think this is about cheering for a team when it's not. I just don't like referees to decide or help a outcome like they did in the beginning of the third. That doesn't mean Sweden was as good. I´m just stating it was a close game before the refs did some bad calls with a bit cheap penalties against Sweden when at the same time missing some similar incidents against the Canadian team. That there is the definition of bad refereeing.
After the 3-1 goal the game was settled and Canada took over completely.

The funny thing here is that i get a feeling you probably didn't even watch the game or just want to debate for the fun of it. You are making a fool out of yourself and stop acting like an arrogant little prick. Behave sonny. The end.

What's the deal with the Russian coach spitting every second? Not that nice behavior considering we've had this Covid thing going on for a time now. Come on and behave.

I don't like our defense system, it's clearly a system and it sucks. Yeah, they try to cover high danger zones, but with so many space on perimeter opponents just score because of redirections and rebounds.

Filatov uses a different defensive system, attacking in the neutral zone and preventing the opponent from getting control in the defensive zone. Leschev uses the traditional Russian "collapse and pray" defensive strategy, which has been a complete disaster. He has done a horrible job of coaching the team, when you consider that they do have enough offensive talent to light up the scoreboard. Russia's only hope against Canada, if there is any, is to try to control the puck and force them to spend more time defending their net. Ivanov has been just awful in goal.

i thought Finnish fans understood the game of hockey your posts actually make you look ridiculous and yes i watched the game between naps.

Russia went up 6:3 and then Michkov loses his position Finland score and now it is 6:4. His desire to collect goals was hurting his team, that is why he was -2. Not good.

My predictions sucked yesterday... I said Finland and Canada in a close game. So it was Russia and Canada in a blowout (if they win this one by a blowout then this can be a nice talking point for the AINEC crowd on here).

I'm taking Finland in a close game.
I'm taking Canada in a close game.

Missing an Oiler game to watch Canada battle it out!

Canada has scored 46 goals.lol
Russia has scored 38.

Czechs got 13 goals.haha

Not sure if you could say Sweden winning would be an upset. I probably think Sweden are the favorites. Doesn't mean we will win, but Sweden have way more high end NHL prospects than Finland on their roster. I haven't watched Finland that much this tournament, I only watched them against Russia, so I can't really say how good they are, but on paper Sweden are the favorites.

What else would you like to complain about today? How is the weather, bad? :)

F*ck off. Go spit outside your door if you don't think it's disrespectful. Imagine not taking covid serious after this last year...
The weather is great, I love rain.

Sweden is the favorite because of a better goalie. The Finnish defense has been a joke against Russia twice, the US and the Czech Republic.
Sweden had 4 bad periods against Canada. The powerhouse with on of the most talented rosters ever.

Players who are disappointed with their own efforts in this tournament from Finland?
Koskenvuo, Suomi, Vilén, Leppänen, Kulonummi, Ervasti and probably Malinen as well.
Lambert too just because he has so much potential.

Why is no one writing about Miroschnichenko? Gone under the radar because of Bedard and Michkov. I don't know if I would pick Michkov over the other Russian, am I mad? Ivan was the best player on ice against Finland.

I'm torn on this one too. The Oilers have already locked up a playoff spot, but watching McDavids magic this year is much watch TV as he closes in on 100 points in this shortened season he's been absolutely ridiculous. He's playing at a Gretzky/Lemieux type of level right now, it's incredible how good of a hockey player he is.

Will be recording both and likely flipping back and forth a bit. I kind of want to just watch the Canada v Russia game closer though as I'm a huge international hockey supporter. The Bedard v Michkov headlines all tournament have come to fruition, should be an interesting game.

Canada will need to play aggressive and really physical setting the tone early while staying out of the penalty box. Once they ramped up the physical play against the Swedes in the 2nd and 3rd period, they just completely dominated the game.

Canada looks very legit in this tourney... I think Russia needs to score early and often (which they're good at) to have a chance but if Canada gets an early lead, watch out!

The chase for 100 is great! I feel bad for the Nuck's and their schedule. Happy Bouch is getting some looks again, same with Koski.

I'll watch the Canada Russia match then the PVR of Oil match since the Oil aren't playing for much right now... home ice against Habs or Jets seems very likely.

I'm going with Canada-Russia myself, too good to pass up even for mcdavid viewing.

Canadian hockey always comes first.

Yeah, especially when it's Canada v Russia at any level it's hard to pass that up. Let alone when both rosters are essentially best-on-best caliber rosters for this age group and we have two prodigies going head to head for Gold.

As Foster Hewitt once said ahead of game 8 of the Summit Series something along the lines, "you couldn't ask for a better script if you had tried".

Best of luck to the Russians and Canadians tonight! It’s funny the two countries kinda hate each other on the ice, as fans we should love the opposite as it’s always such great hockey!!

Really really excited to watch Michkov!

If you really did watch Finland vs Russia semifinal
did you notice that in the 2nd period when Russia dominated and took 2-4 lead
Finland had huge chaos and panic in their defensive zone and how our coach reacted on it ?
yes he didn't react at all no timeout and nothing reactions
he stand paralyzed behind the bench like stone gargoyle.

This team Finland do not have any clue what words like GOALTENDING and DEFENCE
means into international tournament like U18 WJC.

Even if ( an huge IF by the way ) we win bronze Finland has still played bad tournament defensively
also goaltending has been horrendous if your starting goalies statistics after 5 games are
save-percentage 88,48% and goals allowed per game 3,79 you're'not gonna win gold or any medal
if you don't make immediate changes of your goaltending and defence.

Also Finland's penalty killing effiency was before Russia semifnal 92,3% now it's 77,78%
so what that does tell you.

And one more thing.
If someones of this U18 team Finland found themselves to NHL in next 5-10 years
they are Koivunen, Lambert, Salminen, Tuomaala, Heinosalmi and Kemell.
Finland's 2003 age group is mediocre by talent wise.

So i agree my follow countrymen @Svedu
and i'm all ears and waiting your analysis.

I'll be watching both side-by-side.

It's a testament to McDavid's ability that every game is a "can't-miss game" despite the Oilers having already clinched a playoff spot. Just incredibly electric.

Go vote in today's HFOil GDT poll, I think you'll like it. :)

Just voted, good poll.

Just win baby.

I voted a tie, but realistically McDavid could easily go for 4+ tonight against the Canucks. Then again, Bedard could do the same. He’s elevated his play in the most meaningful games of the tournament.

I'll be watching from work tonight, might not be able to post here game time but I am hoping so, looking forward to it.
