Mason is my new favorite hockey player! Do not f*** with this kid.

I am still confused why Russia stopped this MHL experiment with U18. Gives the kids prominent roles at this age...

It had something to do with the Meltonin?? crisis, although I'm not sure what that had to do with the U18 team. I thought it was a great idea to have an U18 all-star team playing as an individual team in the MHL, for the purpose of developing a core of the best players and increasing the chances of winning international tournaments. Why not? The USA has benefitted from their National Development Team.

No lambert or miettinen today, 1st line getting stacked now with koivunen - salminen - tuomaala they should get some 5v5 goals

Canadian boys absolutely burying the Swiss about 6 massive hits since that cheap boarding non-penalty. Should have clearly been called.

They woke up a sleeping giant with anger since that boarding hit the Swiss guy did.

Canada playing very physical and nasty right now as well with skill.

why aren't they playing?
No idea.
But team manager Kimmo Oikarinen has said something '' health comes first'' stuff.
What that means no idea. But it can be anything of these 4 scenarios.

Scenario 1 Covid-19 infections inside to the team
Scenario 2 Covid-19 exposures or symptoms inside to the team
Scenario 3 nagging injuries.
Scenario 4 just a precaution because meaningless game and avoiding injuries should be priority.

Kemell has so much finesse, god damn is he cold with the puck. Don't know what it is but I like both Matikka and Huuhtanen. Actually see quite the potential for them to make it to NHL in 3-5 years if everything goes right in their development. Huuhtanen is massive and still has some skill, not only size if my eyes aren't blind. Matikka looks quite dynamic and well rounded.
Helomaa is so insecure with his stick. Does not like to handle the puck outside of his net. You can see it instantly. Well, he's young and will probably develop that part in his game. After all, the most important thing is to stop the puck.

I have a bad feeling Germany can injure a player if they keep on with their sloppy timing when they are tackling the Finnish players. I truly hope I´m wrong.

What a 1st period.
Germany has no clue what to do and Finland dominates game all over the ice leading 5-0.
This is getting ugly if Finland is able to keep this scoring pace.

Pinelli again on the PP. He’s having a great game.

4-0 Canada.

Shots 18-2 right now in favour of Canada

What can I say? I was right. Germany are playing a bit too tough and ugly. Huuhtanen with the goal as well.

The refs even missed a clear German penalty. The Germans have lost it completely. I´m a bit worried for Finnish players now. The German coaches has a responsibility to learn their players better manners.
Hockey is a tough sport but you don't have to be a pig and all out destructive.

Massive hit by the Canadian D man.

Penalty for hitting like a grown man. Zero reason Del Mastro should have gotten a charging penalty.
