But seriously said if coaching staff cannot get the players to play as a team
then you have wrong head coach and staff behind the bench.
Karjalainen has been assistant coach in U20 WJC's 3 times
and won U20 WJC's gold 2014 so he should know what words like
team effort, team play and team chemistry means because it's coaching staffs
job to get best out of the players.
And if head coach and his staff are incompetent or disinterested
then you have serious coaching problem.
I get that covid19 pandemic has screwed up Finland's preparations to this U18 WJCs.
Yes the other fact is that this team lack international tournament experience
because last time when this U18 team Finland played together
was U17 World hockey challenge autumn 2019.
Of course i know that me, you or anyone else
shouldn't make any decisions or conclusions based on one U18 WJC game.
Finland had not so good start in U20 WJC's
and still they won bronze so perhaps this team can follow same path.
