Make-up doubleheader again tonight. Also a weird one because the Jays will be the home team for the early game in spite of it being in Anaheim, and will then shift to being the road team for the regular game scheduled for tonight.

So technically the matchups are:

Rodriguez vs Matz

&

Stripling vs Suarez

when parsed in away/home order, but I didn't have the space to replicate that in the thread title, nor did I want to confuse everyone.

Also Bo's back:

Game 1 lineups:

Angels lineup yet to be revealed.

It's also been like 5 years since the team's official name dropped the "of Anaheim" and I never noticed until today  Though it apparently wasn't until 2019 that both the Angels and city of Anaheim agreed to press on with just "Los Angeles Angels" with no fuss (previously the city had threatened to sue the Angels for attempting to excise the identification of Anaheim from their name when they attempted to rebrand to the Los Angeles Angels. That's where the stupid "of Anaheim" came from)

Never understood why they don't go back to the California Angels, or Anaheim Angels. I like saying "anaheim". It's a nice word.

OKAY! The Angels historically build their teams very similar to the Jays. In years where the Jays' pitching is better, the Jays usually win especially in slug fest scenarios. After a big series win you can expect the team to be flying high, so this should be a good series for them. A sweep is unrealistic because the Angels have some pretty good pitching lined up, but a series win should be in the cards. Just gotta avoid heavy use of the bullpen.

Yes. Let's take the better starter out of the rotation just because the worse guy might not be as good at a pen role (that would likely amount to little more than "garbage time innings eater")

Logic!

Trent Thornton warming up in a 1 run game? Can management just allow Charlie to go to the Marlins already, it feels like his sabotaging the Jays on purpose at this point.

The West Coast games always derail our season, it doesn’t matter what year it is.

WTF was that weak throw Dickerson. Gurriel would've thrown him out.
