He's done this the last couple of years. He (or the organization as a whole) seems to place some value on guys getting consecutive days off. It makes some sense, at least.

Shout out to Brady Singer; The Jays drafted him, didn't sign him and that pick turned into...... Trent Thornton instead. Via drafting JB Woodman with the comp pick, trading him for Aledmys Diaz and then trading him for Thornton.

At least we also drafted Bo Bichette in that same 2nd round as Woodman. Perhaps if we sign Singer, we use the Bo pick on Woodman and never get Bichette. Can I use that logic to make myself feel better?

What a disappointment he was. He was last season at high-A in the Cards' system striking out 41% of the time.
