Rowdy has been an utter disappointment this year so far. Swinging at literally everything. Pick a location and pitch type and wait for your pitch until you have two strikes. You literally said that's what you learned from Dante Senior last year.

Glad to see Espinal's continued success since the Spring. At this point I'd roster Espinal and Palacios and demote Pan in and Tellez. At least Palacios adds a lefty bat, defense, and speed. Tellez is providing nothing right now and taking up the DH spot we could use to rest guys.

Too early to send Kirk down yet.

Yeah, it's 12 PA. If that's all the rope the young guys get, no one will ever establish themselves. And he hasn't even looked that bad (unlike Rowdy, who looks completely lost right now).

I don't see his defense as anywhere close to "horrible," either.

The only thing that's been terrible is his arm, but that was a known issue when he was developing. And it's a fault you accept if you can get a good hitting catcher who frames well.

Pat Tabler started the 1984 season 4-4 against Texas and does not appear to have a season lining up with the story he just told.

I wouldn't be opposed to getting Kirk reps in Buffalo once the minor league season starts if he's still struggling and not getting much playing time. For now it's fine though

Yeah if an outfielder gets demoted when Springer/Teo/Gurriel comes back Davis needs to go down. Palacios was great in the spring and he's been great today. Davis has done basically nothing in the few games he's had.

I wonder what the Blue Jays record is for most runs scored without a homer. Has it been mentioned? I've missed long chunks of the broadcast trying to watch multiple games.

I thought the score had to be closer to generate a save? What a crock of shit

That's only one of the possible save criteria. The possible ways to earn a save are to enter a game where your team is leading, complete it, and also satisfy one of the following:

1) pitch at least one inning when the lead you're protecting is 3 runs or fewer.
2) enter the game while the tying run is on the bases, at the plate, or on deck
3) pitch at least 3 innings.

Milone satisfied #3, so he gets the totally ridiculous nonsense save.
