As great as the last three weeks have been, it has probably bought the dipshit manager the first three months of next season.

Playing McGuire today makes no sense. At this stage he only should be used for late inning games for defensive purposes to replace Kirk.

Jansen and Kirk should be the ones starting
Yeah mcguire is nothing but a singles hitter at this point. He shouldn’t be getting at bats when you have two healthy catchers both hitting the cover off the ball

He's not getting fired until they have a playoff meltdown or a big regular season failure. So probably at least two more years.

Putting McGuire into the game at all when Kirk and Jansen are both red hot was already quite stupid. Not even giving them a chance late in the game is just another way Montoyo goes above and beyond to hurt the team

It's absolutely incomprehensible.

McGuire has an OPS of like .580 since July 1. The other two guys are currently raking at double that this month.

There's no real reason for him to even be here, and if he is here it should be for emergency purposes only.

To lose a tight game with three of the hottest hitters in MLB not leaving your bench is inexcusable.

For most of the season it's been Dan and one of Buck/Pat for home games and the Buck/Pat combo (no Dan) for road games.
Ahhh, thanks. It’s just something I I’ve been wondering every so often but forget to look into.

GG, was bound to happen. tb had a good gameplan against us and we didnt adapt to it.

There was a decent stretch after going back to Toronto when Dan was calling games in the US from Toronto and Buck was calling games in Toronto from the US, and nobody could ever identify what a fly ball was doing. At least they've fixed it half the time.

Ya, it's bad enough starting him but to not pinch-hit for him is plain f***ing stupid.

Of course the Jankeeess are winning ugh

I literally f***ing hate the Rays. Tampa doesn't even support or care about them and it kills me they get such a great team year in and year out.

Waste

the no pinch hitting stupidity aside, our players are at fault here tbh, bos ABs were symptomatic of our lack of awareness of what TB was doing. we gonna see more of the same tomorrow so i hope we are prepared.

but ye, montoyo is a dolt regardless.

Even the Valera pinch-hitting for Kirk to bunt thing, at least you could see some dinosaur logic there.

To leave the worst hitter on the team in the game in the 8th inning of a tight game when you have *three* red-hot bats sitting on the bench including two who play the same position is just inexplicable.

You can kind of tell what kind of hot streak the Jays have been on with their wild plate discipline tonight vs Tampa. Some big aggressive cuts.

Charlie: "So we're trying to make the playoffs, and we need every win possible... I KNOW! Let's start THE ENTIRE BENCH and then NOT pinch hit for any of them when we need runs! Brilliant, Charlie!"
