The sorta scary thing is that there's not a big obvious red flag in his August numbers aside from the power going poof. His strikeout and walk rates didn't spike/crater, his BABIP regressed from the crazy hot June/July but only to a fairly normal level. His spray chart didn't change. He actually made less soft contact than previous months. His line drive rate fell off from June/July but was kind of more in line with his March-May numbers. Things just sorta suddenly went off the rails and he stopped slugging.
 
If Bo had been more patient and mature in his approach we would’ve blown open this game already.

I added the last 2 numbers thinking I was calculating the OPS and it was over .900 and thought that's really good then saw the wRC+ and realized my mistake

Yeah, I forget where I picked up teh format from (Fire Joe Morgan maybe?) but it's just AVG/OBP/OPS. It's not that I don't think SLG is useful, but I don't generally find it as broadly useful outside of specific context and tend to assume it's fine to just put the more useful OPS at the end and let people infer SLG from it if they need that number.

lol, Charlie really doesn’t trust Pearson. tbh I don’t really blame him.
 
I think he meant the convo the coach was having with Pearson, not the one he was having with Pat. But ya never know...this is Buck we're talking about.:sarcasm:

I’d agree if it was any team other than the stupid Rays.

Did I mention that they have two Lowe’s in their lineup AGAIN? They would’ve had three if they had kept Nate Lowe. And they’re all good too.

I hate that team.
