It's so weird that Tampa is literally a win away from being the top team in the league, but not a single sports show gives a single crap about them lol nobody talks about that boring ass team.

I have read that many baseball people think the way they run that organization is bad for the game. (Trading top players away, always cutting cost, basically run everything based on stats and metrics, zero excitement)

Yay, but for crying out loud, don't let Springer play if he's still injured. I'd much rather he get healed up then injure himself for another 3 months, and this time we don't have another three months to play. It's not like he's doing much and I'd much rather have Kirk at DH with Jansen catching since he seems to be getting hot.

He has some absolutely filthy stuff.

Unfortunately, his form is pretty filthy, too. They need to think carefully about letting him pitch with that hernia. He could mess up his spine pitching like that and that stuff doesn't get fixed with just a few weeks of rest.

Please tell me Ray is signed for next year.

No worries. In a recent interview with Atkins, which I linked in the Jays fan thread, Atkins said Ray was so quick to resign last year he didn't even have to say anything. Ray definitely wants to play for Toronto. So long as they offer a reasonable contract, he'll resign.

A lot of moves they make would be really frustrating, but that team would be so much fun to watch/cheer for during the season.

Anaheim and LA (Taylor and Seager both free agents) would also be possibilities.

Semien is a California born guy, still closely tied there, family is closely tied there and didn’t even leave, as you say he’s tied to charities there. And he’s pretty much guaranteed to get big contract offers to go back there. I’d honestly be shocked if he’s back in Toronto.

Really sucks all the California teams have openings at SS or 2B and 3/4 of them have the payroll to fit him in.

I swear umps call those strikes purely to punish the player for assuming it would be a ball instead of waiting for the ump to call it as one.

And for heaven's sake, Springer can't even run right. Let him rest!

Two homers to kick off the game.

Why is the stadium so empty? They can go full capacity now or did that change? Strange to see so many empty seats for New York.

TBH i have no idea why Springer keeps playing with his bummed knee or ankle or whatever it is. He is only making it worse. I bet he has off season surgery.

Wow. Sloppy fielding from the Yankees, and not even high pressure errors, just butterfingers.

And this might actually happen. So many games with the Orioles and Twins left. If they can just avoid getting beat too hard by the Yankees and Rays (maybe even...win the series) they might actually do this.

I bet he has off season surgery.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's why he's playing. Maybe he was told he'd need surgery and he's like "No! I can't abandon the team!" and now he's refusing to stop playing. But that's totally unnecessary. Kirk is starting to get going and Dickerson hasn't been too bad. And all he is doing is striking out and limping to 1st base.
