Sure, but the game itself looked fairly even. Russia has more high-end skill, so even if Belarus plays them evenly Russia will outscored them, but I thought Russia would be more dominant 5v5 than what I’ve seen today.

Belarus may have outplayed Russia in 5-5 play in the first period.

Russians clearly have more skilled players but haven't been that impressed with Russia's team play in this tournament. And, as usual, their defense is not good at all.

We don't have anybody to move the puck on D, but Koromyslov. Without him they have problems with breaking out Belarus' forecheck.

Belarus team played the whole season together, which helps. They look good just because of chemistry and teamplay, but Russians are clearly more skillful.

This Belarus team looks really good. Hopefully Belarus hockey can catch Germany and Switzerland.

People are sleeping on them. They actually did worse than last time tournament was played. These were their third consecutive quarterfinals and second where they don't come into elimination rounds as the fourth seed from their group.
