Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Two-way defender. Big guy, strong, physical, very good shot blocker and penalty killer. Owns hard shot. And about that PP time. I don't know. Its possible but I think there are better PP Qb specialists in our team. Samuel Knazko or Simon Nemec for example.

Who is going to play defense on the top line though? Unfortunate Slovakia doesn't have even one solid two-way centre who would also be able to keep up with Chromiak and Slafkovsky in terms of skill. Either way, hoping Slafkovsky does indeed get top 6 ice time.
Doesn't make sense in my opinion to have only one defenseman on the PP with Stacha and Mudrak sitting on the bench when there's so little offensive talent among forwards.
Myklukha definitely has that skill. Last year, during Hlinka-Gretzky cup, Myklukha played with Chromiak and Lasak and he was best player on that line. The problem is that he didn't played this season ... so it's tough to say how he looks right know. We'll see vs CZ.
Not yet, last cuts will be done after game against Czechia.
Nemec looked pretty good but I wasn't impressed with Myklukha at all. I hope not but wouldn't be surprised to see him cut. Slovakia is usually not afraid to make those kind of cuts or omissions to their higher profile players after weak perfomances
Ohh hopefully not. I still think he is one of the best players in the squad. I believe his time will come against teams with same ratings..
Just have to wait so see who the cuts are then, I'd imagine they will announce those soon

That is a rough go for the 5 players cut. Twenty-seven hour flight Vienna-Reykjavík-Goose Bay-Edmonton. Arrived and self-isolate. Don't get a chance to play in the single exhibition game. Get cut the next day, board flight same day for Vienna, arriving Friday the 25th. I hope they are able to take some positives away from that experience.

I feel bad for the guys who had to leave the team on X-mas but on the other hand I am very happy for our 3 youngsters Nemec, Slafkovský and Mesar. There is also 17 years old defenseman Becar. I hope they will show their best and gain as much experience as possible. In 2-3 years I think the Slovaks will enjoy WJC more than in the last years.

I would change Boris Zabka for David Natny. But yes, this team should be of good quality and competitive.
Slafkovsky Dvorsky Petrovsky would be crazy Slovak equivalent of Finnish surnames with suffix -en in the first PP.
As for D core, I really really hope Nemec and Strbak are future NHLers. The rest are solid D's for Europe though.

Great vision and passing for a D, good size, not great at defense or physical aspects. I think he was drafted so high because he has tools that are very hard to learn and lacks those that can be worked on and perfected but at this point, he is a boom- or-bust prospect.

Coach Petrovicky said he is going to rotate goaltenders. He hasn't said who would start against Canada. I'm guessing Samuel Hlavaj versus Canada and then Simon Latkoczy versus Germany.
Looks interesting ... But you didn't mention maybe the most important thing ... Coaching. With current coaches (Petrovicky+Cacho) i just don't believe in good results even with strong individualities. In 2000 for example, we had 10 drafted players (2 1st rounders) and Gaborik in his draft season and look what happened. We played in relegation round vs Ukraine and we barely beat them. 1:0 after shootout in game 3. And there is more examples and not only at junior level. I would love to see Feneš there.
