Groch is very good defensively. He'll fight for the spot with players like Hlavac, Turan, Fatul. I don't see Baco making the team though.

Thanks for the insight. Do you think either Groch or Baco have a chance to be drafted next year? I guess Baco's chances would be slim if he is cut from the roster.
I potentially see both of them being drafted, but they would have to play some games in Czech men's league. Despite this, it will be pretty hard for them.
No. He didn't play a single game this season (only few pre-season games if im not mistaken), so that's the reason why he's not there. We have few guys on the roster who didn't play this season at all and that's big disadvantage. Even though Oleksii Myklukha or Matej Kaslik have solid chance to make it imo.

That's a huge loss for the Slovaks. I had Germany and Slovakia being similar in skill level before this, but now I think Slovakia and Switzerland are the clear bottom 2 in Group A.
I am dissapointed but it does not surprise me. He already had some issues in the QMJHL.. I hope he will learn this lesson.

First time I've heard "serious violation of sports and human values" given as a reason.
Have to wonder why the coaching stuff didn't bench his ass after the first dirty hit. Instead they let him play.

What an idiot why would you be throwing dirty hits against your own team? Could have easily been the best player on this team and help earn a contract from Tampa Bay instead he leaves looking like a moron

Is that a reason to cut a player from the team? It's not like these bad hits only happen in games. They also sometimes happen in practice. I wouldn't be happy with the player, but I think cutting him from the team and acting like he did something that violates team rules is unfair.

So 2 years back, leaving Cajkovic off the roster. 1 year back, leaving Chromiak off the roster. Today, leaving Cajkovic off the roster. I think they will cut Chromiak from the team next year just to keep the tradition

Even Slovak media do not know all the story yet. Guessing there were reasons to cut him. Otherwise, they would not do it.
Just a few moments from the official statement.
-it was not only about a few bad hits, bad/dirty play. As they say, those hits/play was a result of his unsportsmanship & unfair conduct towards his teammates. This conduct was repeated during the training game.
-before the camp, all players & coaching stuff applied some rules of behaviour/conduct during the camp. You know, these COVID times are special, even one irresponsible player can ruin all preparation. So, it is extremely important all players fulfil all written and unwritten rules. And his conduct in that game broke these rules approved by himself before the camp.
His injury was a result of Cajkovic's dirty hit from behing as there was no puck.
Apparently, Čajkovič kept repeating the dirty hits throughout the preparation game, and after the hit on Krajč (from behind & without the puck) that sent Krajč to the hospital and excluded him from the upcoming tournament, there was an even dirtier hit on another teammate (although without health-related consequences for the target).

Filip Mešár is looking so good. Soft hands, great skater and todays goal was beauty. Pick corner like that is not easy.

All three 2004 should get on WJC. Filip Mesar is a really surprise for me this season. In the summer he made a huge progress and today he is in similar if not better level of the best Slovak U20 players.
