They’re just not good. They have glaring holes and they decided it wasn’t worth filling a single one at the deadline, banking on injured players returning, except these games count just as much.

Everyone knew this team was overachieving for the first 4 months and regression to the mean would happen unless they were stabilized by Sale/Schwarber/Seabold/etc., but the last 3 weeks have had major Septembet 2011 vibes. This team is frustrating as hell.

seems the other 3 teams in the division are just hungrier than John Henry to win.

It's not too early to panic. Will only be TWO games up in the loss column over Toronto. And again, the Blue Jays have the pitching edge in the next 3 games as well.

huge miscalculation that ownership thought they could coast in early august. If youre ok with a nice 1st half and saving on the luxury tax thats a good year for ole John I guess

The other 3 teams being good had something to do with it. Even the Yankees have gotten solid pitching this year despite the team not winning much of course their bats would go off after those trades.

The Yankees trading for Rizzo is going to correctly be pointed to as the moment this years team fell apart.

Taking Houck out of the rotation was MORONIC and something everyone has overlooked. Him and Sale might kickstart a long win streak. We will need it because IDK if we get more than 1 win from Toronto+Tampa series.

just watched Nelson Cruz have 5 RBI in the last 45 min. Tampa went all in like the 04 sox as much as they could

Ramon Laureano got 80 games for PEDs

That would explain his rocket of an arm

They need to suspend them for life. Its only way to deal with it or its gonna continue.Far as taking medicines etc make sure you know what you are putting in your body. Not sure have agent ask MLB.Oakland sitting in a wilcard spot and how many games did this guy help them win?It is just not right

Yankees stayed under luxury tax and added legit help. The GM has to get creative though.See alot of posts directed at John Henry here. And that game tonite you could see in the 5th after 3 straight doubles by Jays 7,8,9 hitters that Eovaldi's pitches went flat and he lost it añd yet Cora left him in to tune of 7 earned runs.To late in season and alot on line to manage like its April or May.

Hell baby
Laureano apparently had a low level in his system which leads me to believe he had a tainted supplement. As convenient as that sounds a lot of those supplement companies don’t do a good job of cleaning the vats where everything is made and you end up getting trace amounts of shit that’s not supposed to be in you. It happens a lot more than people think

JD on the Covid list. Hopefully it's a false situation like it was for Barnes. We'll find out Durans test results today.

Either way. JD has been trash. Maybe he needs a few days to regroup.

Prayers of course that they don't have it.

I need Chaim Bloom to keep his eyes on the prize.

In this case, the prize isn't the 2021 AL East title. Or even a playoff spot.

The prize is building the East Coast version of the Dodgers. We're still several years away from that.
