Somewhat of a flameout last season in juniors and had no chance to prove it otherwise with the canceled OHL season, but at one time I debated whether Carolina should've picked him or Tieksola at the spot that they picked Tieksola. I believe Keppen went one pick after Tieksola in the late 4th. I'm glad the Canes went for Tieksola instead, but Keppen may be a candidate (pending a strong overage season) to be ELCed by someone.

The wording is weird, but he says Canucks in the opening line so I'll stick with that and re-post if it turns out to be an AHL deal

It is an NHL deal. After reading the article in The Province, they said he was basically the first played signed by the Canucks to play in Abbotsford or something like that.
