Quite rare to see a team on a war path nowadays. The only sure war paths are sellers and cap dump takers. Even Dallas had some pause.

Rangers posted a pre-draft video earlier with Drury and a few others in the war room. It was interesting because it sure looked like there were only a few guys in the room this year as opposed to the giant panel they've had in past. It could be that the video was entirely staged and not everyone was around for it. Or it could be a reflection of how much of a skeleton crew there is right now. Do you have any intel on this?

He was LaF’s center but that’s not necessarily why I want him. Also I don’t think there’s any chance he’s a C at the NHL level as much as I like him. I’ve gotta say though, I don’t have Bourgault or L’Hereux in my first round. I have Bolduc top 10. L’Heureux I’m very confident will bust. His physicality is overrated and he’s really just not that good. Late 2nd for me I view him on Cuylle’s level. Bourgault I’ll admit I haven’t seen as much of as Bolduc or L’Hereux but haven’t really liked what I saw in that small sample size. Seems like a guy who will be a Jordan Weal/Brendan Pirri type

Yzerman curveball is overstated. He picked Seider a few spots early but that’s really it. Doesn’t really have a history of drafting guys much higher than expected. Us, Boston, or CBJ youre more likely to see a curveball out of

I actually think that the chances of acquiring a Top 10 pick go down as the days get closer to the draft. Front offices get prospect fever.

If they go that path, I feel like Othmman is a more likely option.
