I doubt it, there is enough good players to fill the top 10, even without Coronato or Sillinger. And I’m sure one GM will opt for a goalie as well before Dallas’ pick.
Idk man , you may be right but I’d be ecstatic if he drops to us .

I have a feeling someone will fall to us and it will seem like a no brainer but we will pick Brennan Othmann.

Just reading through Pronman's latest mock. I don't enjoy Pronman very much but it's a "what I'm hearing" kind of thing so maybe worth posting. He mentioned Othman as the guy most connected to Dallas but mentioned he could see Coronato. Seems like he mentioned most teams in the 10-15 range as Coronato options and has the 2 goalies taken back to back (Cossa to Ottawa and Wallstedt to Chicago)

He would fit a Nill profile, offensive talent and chippy just in case that O talent doesn't translate to the NHL, and he can still be a pest. And, not great feet, but maybe JRob and his supposed average skating has taken that negative away for Nill and co. But, maybe having a Rads 2 who is in the box too much will scare them away.

Would also fit a pattern of skipping on some obvious high talent guys for someone else ranked a bit lower.

And my biggest prediction - anyone we pick will "marinate" for about 4-5 years before we see them.

I would be happy with Sillinger, Lucius or Coronato in the upcoming once a year hockey kid NHL sweepstakes

I was just half listening to the podcast he did about the draft, the thing that surprised me was his thinking Lysell drops to the 20's. Makes me wonder if the kid is a jerk, or if him asking off one team to get to a better one is really that much of a negative.

I checked to see what Pronman said in 2019, and he had our pick as Victor Soderstrom, and said Raphael Lavoie was the runner-up rumor. Soderstrom went much earlier to Phoenix, Lavoie went in the second round. He didn't get our pick right last year either, but then again, I don't think anyone would at 30. I think we've heard Othmann to Dallas for months now, so it's either a badly kept secret or just repeating nonsense. I'll go ahead and assume the latter, the Stars are very good at keeping secrets.

I don't think it's they're good at keeping secrets as much as nobody cares nationally, and local guys are seemingly afraid of losing access. That's why they so often Parrott the team

Trying to get ready for tonight, I had bought the digital Draft Pro yearbook and wanted to print profiles of the top 25-30 players. Somehow, I messed up and printed all 224 players for a very thick book to refer to.

Oh well, I guess I can read up on all Stars picks as they happen this weekend. Hey, maybe the guy they ranked at 224 (Taige Harding) will be handy for when the Stars make their oft typical first round reach.......

The funny thing, which I have mentioned about all these rankings is the top 30 all have questionable traits, but Mr. Harding is described as "a hulking D man, with mobility and puck skills. He is a monster in all three zones, whether useing his terrific reach to shut down entries, or using his skating ability to transition up ice. Offensively, he owns a bomb of a slap shot, and is extremely accurate as well. He consistently beats goalies from the point, and is one of the more physically imposing blueliners in this draft and is not afraid to carry the puck or lead th rush on his own. First steps need work. A project worth developing."

Sounds like a first rounder to me!

Pronman doesn't know anything, what he does is look at a teams makeup, draft history, and tries to pick guys that will fill that spot.

After we drafted Nichushkin and Gurianov, we were linked with every potential first round Russian for a few years after. That has died off now.

Since we drafted Caamano and Dellandrea, now we are attached to Flint for a little bit. That will die off eventually as well.

I swear I heard this guy's name, someone asked Pronman if he is the next Colton Parayko. If we draft him, his jersey should say "T. Harding", no one is going to f*** with him while he's got ice skates on.

Wonder if Dallas is going to see how the picks play out. Maybe if someone they like doesn’t fall they package it for Jones.

Package it with what?
Surely you don't think we'll give up the better player(Kling) and a pick to get Jones

Did I even come close to suggesting that with what I said? Calm down Judas Priest
It was an honest question. What are they packaging it with, because in a scenario where they are using 14 as a piece for Jones, they obviously aren't trading Klingberg there. And who's going out to fit the salary
