I have no opinion on Lysell or his perceived attitude issues. Just pointing out that if a 4th round pick doesn't work out, it doesn't really matter. An 11th overall pick? That's a setback for the org if you don't get a useful player there.

Oh no doubt. I just think it’s being overblown as a potential issue. I think if he had played bigger minutes in the SHL, it would be a complete non-issue and we’d be talking about him as a guaranteed top-7 pick. That’s how good he is IMO.

But if this pushes him down the board to us at 11, I’m totally okay with that. He’s a hell of a talent. I think he’ll end up being a top-7 player from this draft when we look back at it 5-10 years or so from now.

Unless there’s a really juicy story, I generally dismiss the attitude claims. They’re still just kids. Most of them are gonna be a bit immature. These things are almost always overblown small incidents… or nothing at all.

I'm intrigued by Danila Klimovich----Belarus forward, good offensive player with a great shot.....not sure where he'll go---kind of came out of nowhere.

Only story I've heard is that he thought he was more deserving of ice time...which he was. I understand that players should have to earn and work towards this, but he busted his ass on the 4th line and still wasn't given an opening. Pretty ridiculous imo. And this is all after he got traded.

Hopefully that changes next season. I think he should stay in the SHL, but only if he can get top 6 minutes.

I have family in Belarus, really liking the upward trajectory of the country hockey wise. More and more solid prospects.

So, Detroit out of the running for Wallstedt. Traded for the Carolina goalie Nedeljkovic.

Not necessarily. Yzerman always does his own thing. Seemed to have been right about Moritz Seider. Seider was a surprise but he's hanging in there as a prospect.

He probably should have gone with Zegras but I digress

I can see them grabbing Cossa with their second pick in the 1st round if he’s available.

Cossa is the bigger, more athletic goalie so I can see why Kelley and the scouts are more intrigued with him if true.

I thought teams were smart enough not to take goalies in the 1st round nowadays? That would be an awful pick.

A 1st round goalie just carried TB to 2nd straight cup and is maybe the best player in entire league at this point

Stars are about to see 1st round G take over job ,, 1st round goalie is taking over reigns in Washington , Spencer Knight is the future of Panthers and Preds have a 1st round pick who looked the part of stud in KHL

The only recent 1st round goalie to suck ass is our very own Malcolm Subban

If a team believes G is the guy then they should have confidence to take him whenever

Also the Vezina winner from this season also a 1st round goalie I may add

If the Flames want Cossa, maybe we can get their 3rd, and still get the kid we want (which I'm assuming is Lysell).
3rd isn't enough ,it's payback time for all the GM's bending over Stan when we were on Cup runs.

A goalie is only as good as the players in front of him.

Even if you nail a goalie selection, spending the cap hit necessary to retain said goalie past their ELC is a gross misallocation of resources.

Ask yourself if you're ok with Carey Price's contract even at peak performance. I'm not.
