Last couple of years? He was stellar for Finland/Liiga last year...

But yeah the rest of it I agree with. He has the talent and possession game down, just couldn't score for whatever reason. Think he honestly had a bad year. We see this from time to time, though. Filip Forsberg had a bad draft year, fell, *got traded*, and has been a key component to Nashville's offense.
Sorry I meant to tourneys. Mia Culpa
But yes in lower league scoring case East for him. The school of thought now is he can’t drive his own line offensively, whether it be better competition or what. That’s basically the only reason for the drop. But your right, he could be a diamond in the rough and things like that happen as you mentioned with forsburg. I remember Gunlar being another kid like that. But I think Raty plays a more complete game. I’d be happy as hell if he was our pick. Him or Wallstedt for that matter

Raty is an interest prospect because you can see the makings of an NHL player there, but there's a disconnect. Is it a bad year? Is it his shortcoming being exposed over a prolonged look? Can he drive a line? Is he more a high-end support player? A very good bottom six option? It's hard to tell.

I got the sense that the old regime, confident in what they'd assembled, would be more likely to roll the dice on Raty. I don't know how Drury's approach will be. The scuttlebutt is that he is more interested in risers --- and Raty would not fit that profile.

He's definitely in the mix at 15.
