The legend grows and grows. She is unbelievable with the way she steps up in crucial moments and ascends beyond everyone else to guide Canada to victory.

I was in the arena in Sochi when she scored the OT Winner, best Hockey game experience of my life and I got to meet her and told her how we celebrated across Sochi that night.

What a performance and love to see the next generation Canadian talent coming up. Fillier looks to be quite a prospect as well. Also it was such an amazing tournament with some amazing plays. It might not look like it but there's some really terrific Hockey players developing in all the other nations. There's nothing like an IIHF tournament, it's always Hockey at its purest.

Onto the 2022 games we go. Time to reclaim our double Olympic Gold winning ways.

who is generally considered #3 in the world ?
I thought it was Sweden but i guess i've been sleeping on women's hockey for a while. Is it Finland?
Pretty much Finland all along.

Finland has one silver (should have been gold, imo) and 13 bronze. Everyone else has a combined total of 6 bronze (3 ROC, 2 Sweden, 1 Switzerland)

I get what you’re saying.

I do remember Sweden being just below Canada and the US. Finland seems to have replaced them in that sense.

Hopefully they’re able to turn it around. The more strong teams there are the better it will be for Women’s hockey.
Finland has ALWAYS been #3. 13 bronze medals at the Worlds or something like that.

And yes, they were absolutely screwed in 2019.

That was AWESOME. Poulin is a beast. Great comeback after being down 2-0, too.

Sucks for Blayre Turnbull, though! It looked like she basically snapped her ankle in the pileup.

I just watched the final today. It was still good viewing despite knowing the outcome.
Congratulations ladies. :thumbu:
