7-8 year x 5 million AAV deal for Hyman after bringing back Mike Smith for multiple years. Oilers gonna Oiler.
Kenny Holland has been washed up for years.7-8 year x 5 million AAV deal for Hyman after bringing back Mike Smith for multiple years. Oilers gonna Oiler.
Exactly how I feel. Agreed.A goalie who was trending in the wrong direction at season's end. I have a feeling he may get exposde this season with a bigger workload and not as good defense core, despite playing behind KY last season.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention he only has 38 NHL games experience.
I don’t think much apart from possibly Stralman trade. Don’t buy the Vatrano rumorsI don't even know what to expect once 1pm hits.
Conflicting reports from insiders last night regarding how many trades to expect, either a bunch or only a couple.
I'd be very dissapointed if Bennett only wanted a year contract.I don’t think much apart from possibly Stralman trade. Don’t buy the Vatrano rumors
I guess Wennberg is re signed for a year or two, and Bennett for a year or so. Hope we don’t block the GOAT
I don’t see a reasonable price such that Bennett and Florida would be happy. I much rather be conservativeI'd be very dissapointed if Bennett only wanted a year contract.
I would hope at least 3 years x4I don’t see a reasonable price such that Bennett and Florida would be happy. I much rather be conservative
I don’t see why Bennett would necessarily take that: his play in Florida implies much higher valueI would hope at least 3 years x4
His career didn't though. He had a very impressive 20ish games, but it was 20ish games.I don’t see why Bennett would necessarily take that: his play in Florida implies much higher value

I agree and that’s why Florida shouldn’t, but if I were Bennettt I’d bet on himselfHis career didn't though. He had a very impressive 20ish games, but it was 20ish games.
Yeah I get what you mean from Bennett's perspective.I agree and that’s why Florida shouldn’t, but if I were Bennettt I’d bet on himself
Ehh I wouldn't be against it, just to confirm last season wasn't a fluke. Also gives us some flexibility cap wise for the year after with Yandle's buyout taking up $5mil
Yeah I get what you mean from Bennett's perspective.
Gotta disagree here… It wouldn’t give us cap-flexibility next year, because if he confirms, Bennett would want a much bigger contract than what we can sign him for this year on a « long-term » deal…
Would much rather find a way to get him signed for 3-4 years this summer !
Honestly, I am not entirely sold with Bennett. I think he was a passenger to Huberdeau..
Yeah He's definitely a passenger but he was physical and kept up great offensively. I don't want to lose that dimension at all to our team. Lundell is a mystery box right now. He's going to be a great player, but will it be next year immediately? I don't envy Zito lol.Honestly, I am not entirely sold with Bennett. I think he was a passenger to Huberdeau.. but by the same token that is what we need right? Someone who can mesh with Huberdeau (Look at Hyman, LOL). I am just worried about contract and about giving a position to someone who really isn't worth it while others can step in.
I think a 1 year deal would be ideal. Who knows if Bennett is the real deal. What is Lundell steps in ala Barkov and takes the 2nd line position. Whether you like it or not, Bennett is still an ongoing experiment.
I am rooting for the guy regardless. We need someone who is passionate, who can muck it up in the boards, stick up for teammates and put points up. He looks like he has it, hopefully he sticks to that over the majority of an 82 game season.
Ideally Bennett takes the same deal as Duclair
