It is. The panel even brought it up.I think this is the biggest player Dubas has drafted.
He is, but size is over-rated. Effort matters more.I think this is the biggest player Dubas has drafted.
Late birthday and his production didn’t change from last year. Some in this thread have also said bad skating.Good transitions, good forechecking, good shots, decent passer and bad defence.
Why did this guy fall?

Why did this guy fall?
Why's that? This feels like a shanahan pick not a dubas one.
Slow start/injury apparently.Good transitions, good forechecking, good shots, decent passer and bad defence.
Why did this guy fall?
His height. I'm not buying it.Why's that?
Tyler Biggs flashbacks.
Rooting for the kid though!
Back to the drawing board.Sorry. How do you pronounce Knies?
Nye or Knee?
If Nye then this:
Matthew Knies the science guy?
Well?
I was being mostly sarcasticHis height. I'm not buying it.
Dubas values compete and IQ and Knies has it. This time he happens to be big too. This is a Dubas pick
\When they say turnover they meant he causes turnovers...one of his attributes.

A for effort tho.
Beyond his size, what other qualities do you find relatable beyond power forward attributes? I don't see the connection.Tyler Biggs flashbacks.
Rooting for the kid though!
There’s better players with analytics on the board like martino, robertsson and the finnish dudes. Recently, Shanahan has insisted on more grit, size, intangibles with the team, which has resulted in him bringing in foligno, simmonds, and thornton. This has had suboptimal results. Dubas has shied away from late birthday picks in the top 3 rounds for 3 drafts and there were clearly better options on the board. Why's that?
