The break is a double-edged sword imo. It can turn a hot team cold, though this team hasn’t been particularly ’hot’ these last 2 months anyway.

The benefits are obviously being able to rest all the nagging injuries that come with a regular season. The team will be as close to 100% healthy as it’s been since tha start of the season.

Correct , but the one guy they will be missing to injury is the guy I think they can least afford to miss, Frederik Gauthier. He is the heart of the PK, takes a shitload of face offs, and is the middle of the best defensive group they can ice. Greer is a much bettter and far more dangerous offensive player with him than without him. Hopefully, I'm wrong, but I think they will struggle without him when things get dicey.

Based on the practice jersey colors I see all 9 defensemen on the roster. Then 15 of the 19 forwards on the roster plus one mystery man in the yellow non contact jersey.

Daws vs. Rochester:

3-2-1 .892 2.99 300:36 124/139

Schmid vs. Rochester:

2-2 .869 3.63 297:25 119/137

Dell vs. Utica:

1-0 .949 1.67 108:04 56/59
The team has been helped by Nico Daws and Akira Schmid, who have each had solid first AHL seasons. Daws was 4-2-0 with a 2.81 goals-against average against Rochester. Schmid was 2-2-1 with a 3.63 GAA.

I gave Daws the OTL instead of Schmid and I missed the 4/22 game completely.

However, my math is still wrong as I now have 16 GA x 60 = 960

960/362:30 minutes (or 362.5) = for a 2.65 GAA, not the 2.81 Birnell has. I had Schmid's GAA correct.

Daws vs. Rochester:

4-2 .898 2.65 362:30 150/167

Daws

10/17 W 6-2 25/27 59:50

11/24 L 2-4 19/22 59:00

12/08 OTL* 3-4 17/19 46:57 *Schmid got the decision, not Daws.

1/29 W 4-2 28/30 59:43

2/18 W 4-2 26/28 60:00

4/22 OTW 26/28 61:04

4/29 1-8 L 9/13 15:56

Mitens vs.Rochester

The number of forwards at 15 + the yellow says 2 are missing. Is somebody hidden in that mix? Maybe?

The guy in yellow has usually been Van Whye. Would hope it's Gauthier, but not likely. That would at least say he's close.

Laberge was wearing a yellow jersey on Thursday.

Stillman
Gauthier
Van Wyhe

Van Whye has been coming on late or in the middle and leaving early. He could easily be missing with Laberge in yellow, but Dineen said clearly that the only guys unhealthy are Gauthier and VanWhye.

If Samuel is not injured, wearing a yellow non contact jersey the day of the game would make no sense. I think the yellow is Van Whye.

Thus, we have mystery men missing.

Can't wait until Holtz doesn't score in Game 1 and for him to be dragged for it on here and dropped lower in our prospect pool.

Everyone is down. Hopefully everyone is rested and ready to roll tonight. This team has a pretty deep lineup , they struggled a bit the 2nd half but managed to hold that top spot in their division with all the call ups and barley having Daws down there. I have a feeling Zetterlund is going to pop off , as well as Walsh. I'm not a fan of the team already deciding they are going to split games with Schmid and Daws but this is about development so I can understand it from a management standpoint.

I think they are looking at splitting the home and home b2b with less than a 24 hour turnaround.
